What you need
Fotina is made for iPhone and needs iOS 18.6 or later.
Access to your photos
Fotina asks for access to your library the first time it needs it, to show your recent photos on the home screen. You can give access to all your photos or only to some. To change it: in the iPhone Settings, open Fotina, then Photos.
If a photo you want isn't among the recent ones, tap "Load photo" and pick it: it opens even if Fotina can see only some of your photos.
You can also open a photo from another app: in Files or in the share sheet, choose Fotina.
Saving your photo
- Tap "Export", then "Save to Photos". Fotina saves a new photo: the original in your library is never changed.
- The saved photo keeps the capture date and the camera details. Its location is kept only if you turn it on with the location button in the export screen.
- You can choose JPEG or HEIC and the quality in the same screen.
- If saving fails, check that Fotina can add photos: in the iPhone Settings, open Fotina, then Photos.
Undo, and resuming an edit
Every step can be undone with the arrows at the top. Fotina also remembers your last edit: on the home screen, "Resume last edit" brings it back, with its undo history. The mask you painted is not kept.
Fotina Pro
Fotina is free to download. Cropping, adjustments, the mask, frames, collages, 75 filters, Bloom and Vignette are free. Fotina Pro unlocks all 300 filters and every other effect, such as Ghost, Sky, Shadows and Starburst. You can try everything on your photo: the Fotina Pro screen appears only when you export a photo that uses Pro content.
Fotina Pro is a one-time purchase, paid once through your Apple Account: there is no subscription, nothing to cancel. It is shared with your family through Family Sharing.
Restore your purchase
New iPhone, or did you reinstall Fotina? Open Fotina, tap the gear on the home screen, then "Restore purchases". Use the Apple Account you bought it with.
Refunds
Refunds are decided by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, from the same page.
Your privacy, in short
Your photos never leave your iPhone, and there are no accounts. Only two things leave it: crash reports, always, to fix bugs; and usage data, without your name or your photos, only if you say yes. You can change your answer at any time in Fotina: Settings › "Share anonymous usage data". Details in the Privacy Policy.
